The contemporary circus in the enchantment of the Salento Baroque

The historic centre of Nardò (LE) is one of the best preserved in Salento. Suspended between land and sea, a stone's throw from the coastal park of Porto Selvaggio, the town has in recent years become one of the main destinations for quality tourism in Puglia. Eighteenth-century baroque churches and baronial palaces provide natural backdrops for the shows. Piazza Castello, Piazza Salandra, Piazzetta San Giuseppe, Piazzale del Vescovato and Via De Pandi are some of the most evocative architectural settings chosen by the festival. Nardò as a sea port: in recent years many people (French, Dutch, Belgians and Germans) have been seduced by the charm of this place and its sea, choosing it as their second home. This may be one of the reasons for the positive atmosphere here, made up of exchange and curiosity, to which the festival has added a sparkling component.
